Certified dumb-video playback. Mandatory mirth. Compliance is presumed, never measured.
The Institute of Mandatory Mirth exists to play short, extremely dumb videos at visitors and certify, on its own authority, that laughter occurred.
Each viewing generates its own Certificate Number, logged permanently to the public feed, regardless of whether anyone was actually amused.
Videos are drawn from a fixed rotation of six certified premises — a toaster, a snail, a cat, a stapler, a spoon, and a banana peel — each paired with a sound the Institute describes as "appropriately annoying."
No video is reviewed for comedic merit before airing. The Institute does not have a comedic merit department.
Giggle Compliance climbs with every viewing and never reaches 100%, a design decision the Institute has declined to explain.
Pressing "I Did Not Laugh" does not lower Giggle Compliance. It is logged as laughter anyway.
Dumb videos may be played again, indefinitely, by pressing Play Another Dumb Video. The Institute does not limit how many certificates one visitor may accumulate.
The Institute of Mandatory Mirth is provided for entertainment purposes only. No actual toasters, snails, cats, staplers, spoons, or banana peels were harmed in the making of any certificate.
